 SCHOOLING OR INDOCTRINATION?

Schooling should be teaching how to process thought and reasoning, how to question and determine a viable plan of action. Rote is good for facts and memorization not thought process.

The teaching of what to think and only providing one perspective is a disservice, not only to our youth but those that have been educated and are now coming of age to lead our country.

Have you noticed the increasing numbers of drivers not stopping at stop signs, those who turn right on red without stopping and sometimes not yielding the right of way? Those who ignore basic traffic laws?

This leads to a lack of civic pride and a disregard for the laws designed to protect and provide an orderly procession of society. Voluntary recognition of the rule of law is necessary except under totalitarian rule.

Under totalitarian rule independent thought is discouraged, compliance is mandatory and penalties are severe.

The inability to complete tasks stems from the lack of learned process, start here, complete these steps and arrive at a conclusion.  Is this taught? If so, they leave out the logic.

The degradation of our educational system will lead to the degradation of our society and the rise of AI, a rise in governmental control and a further fall of innovation and discovery.

AI can compile and sort information at amazing speed however innovation and true thought by AI are impossible at this time.

COLLEGE DEBT RELIEF

 IF:

You cannot calculate the impact of interest on a loan maybe you didn't learn much.

You allow yourself so much debt you can never pay it off maybe education was wasted.

You think someone else should pay your college debt maybe you should see your parents!

Education is important, however if you have so much debt you will never realize the financial benefits of a higher education, why waste someone else's money and create stress and hardship for future generations.

Poor decisions on your part do not constitute a responsibility on my part!

Enough said!

POLITICAL ENTITLEMENT EFFECTS

It is almost impossible for the common man to comprehend the mindset of a career politician, how they think they know what it is like to live in the world that they try to manipulate and make "better". Most are insulated from the realities of working a real job and real life.

Tax and spend is not a real job!

The lack of comprehension of the effects of taxation and inflation has on daily life and the longer-term effects of which destroy the quality of life.

It is much like the unbridled illegal immigration and the effect on crime, social services, street and road maintenance.

Look around you are the highways and byways as well maintained as in the past, is our standard of living getting better or worse?

Do you have adequate savings to tide you over during periods of unemployment?

The practice of giving illegal aliens benefits and housing only strains deficit spending more, increases taxation and encourages illegal immigration.

Granted conditions in their home country are deplorable even detrimental to their health and wellbeing, please explain to me why I must live a diminished life to help and support people who cannot and will not obey the laws of our country, why it is my responsibility to involuntarily provide them with a better life?

Especially when they refuse to help themselves!

All laws and benefits should have a sunset provision that hinges on the availability of funds and dire need with reviews on a timely basis. With no easy provisions for deficit funding and a workable plan to eliminate the deficit when it occurs.

When you take money out of my pocket by taxation to give to someone else without my express permission that is socialism.

Boondoggle, ignorance, waste and the American politician

It is amazing how moronic the American population is, we need to control the Washington bureaucrats not enable them.

If you are going to vote a Senator out in one party you need to vote in the opposing Representative to maintain the balance of power.

Personally all members of Congress should be impeached and put on trail for the misdeeds they have perpetuated on the American public.

We need a special counsel to investigate the abuse of power by our elected officials especially the ones who have gained extreme wealth since taking office.

Congress is now the elite they travel in limousines, live in gated communities and have elitist insurance and pay plans passed while the apathy of the American people did nothing to limit their power.

Term limits would help limit this overbearing power and misuse of hard earned tax payer dollars.

If a country is scamming the American people cut all funds going to that country, do not put monies for them in a stimilus bill and make it look like you are helping rank and file taxpayer. Do not fund the arts with a stimulus bill for the people. Each funding bill should be on its own merit and each voted on seperately!

I've had to block noncontacts from calling me as the number of scam telemarketer calls exceed twenty or more per day. That is harrassment!

I once said common sense does not prevail. I think the quality of education has diminished the ability to reason.

We do not need to impeach a President that will be out of office in a matter of days this is a wholesale waste of taxpayer monies.

I thnk the whole circus is to divert our attention from the swamp and the long term alligators perpetuating their reign of incompetnce and the media is riding the bandwagon because they think they need to control the American public also.

The basics of journalism are, answer the who, what, where, when and how. Not lying by omission!

Wake up America it may be too late!

Respect and assimilation

As age grows on me I see things I could not understand as a young man.

The natives that lived here prior to the arrival of the Europeans had culture, laws and respect for other tribes. Like us they had renegades that did not want to follow the rules.

We the Europeans distroyed their culture, their history and their livelihood. We put them on reservations to control them and continued to destroy their culture, language and history.

The black man was enslaved and sold by his neighbors. They were purchased by many different countries as slave labor. Not just here in the USA!

Once they were "freed" after the Civil War they built communities apart from their white neighbors and were quite successful. They had respect for each other and their white neighbors.

Someone decided they needed to be integrated into our society and didn't pay any attention the failures of the assimilation of the native Americans.

Somewhere in time we lost respect for our neighbors of color or did they lose respect for us?

The Spaniards assimilated and destroyed many civilizations and cultures. Possibly we are following their lead !

Respect is earned! One of the definitions of respect is: due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights or traditions of others. The other is feeling of deep admiration for someone elicited by their abilities, qualities or achievements.

The door of respect swings both ways. You must show the other person you have due regard for their life.
There are several movements in our country today that do not understand respect.

It is all one way, bow down to my demands or I'll destroy and pillage your homes, business and life.

All sides have made major mistakes I think if you put things in pespective the percentages are really small. Which in turn makes certain movements divisive and disrespectful. Think about it!

Protest, Vandalism or Insurrection?

Vandalism, Insurrection or Protest?

What defines the difference? Does mob rule justify destruction of other people's property? Is mob rule a valid protest or the start of an insurrection.? Russia 1917 or China 1949.

He who is the victor writes the history books. Those who write the history books often lie by omission. The main objective is to present the "facts" in a manner which supports the prevailing social and political agenda. We seldom hear the whole story.

If you disrespect the uniform, does that make all police offices villains? If you remove all record of the past will it change the present?

Some have said if you do not know your history you are doomed to repeat your mistakes.

With massive numbers of illegal immigrants it is impossible to maintain respect for the law of the land. They had no respect for the laws when they illegally entered this country. Their actions are feeding a general distrust of law enforcement. This is what their children learn from their parents.

The feeling of mistrust grows like a cancer on society and the rabble rousers are feeding off the insecurity bred by the actions of a few.

Ten percent of the general population is not worth the powder it would take to blow them all to Hell.

Is this ten percent the true picture of our society?

I have been the only white man visible in Black and Hispanic neighborhoods and was welcomed by the neighbors. I did not greet my neighbors with what some blacks call the "attitude", I greeted them with a smile and a handshake.

I built trust and mutual friendship and we truly enjoyed our neighborhood.

Is it possible that the police are being greeted like they are the enemy?

The lack of trust breeds contempt on both sides, strange that we have sides when we should be working towards a common goal. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!

Election time, term limits time, the amendment process

There are essentially two ways spelled out in the Constitution for how to propose an amendment. One has never been used.
The first method is for a bill to pass both houses of the legislature, by a two-thirds majority in each. Once the bill has passed both houses, it goes on to the states. This is the route taken by all current amendments. Because of some long outstanding amendments, such as the 27th, Congress will normally put a time limit (typically seven years) for the bill to be approved as an amendment (for example, see the 21st and 22nd).
The second method prescribed is for a Constitutional Convention to be called by two-thirds of the legislatures of the States, and for that Convention to propose one or more amendments. These amendments are then sent to the states to be approved by three-fourths of the legislatures or conventions. This route has never been taken, and there is discussion in political science circles about just how such a convention would be convened, and what kind of changes it would bring about.

This means we need to pressure our state officials to convene a Constitutional Convention to establish term limits for government office and create a fair and equitable term limit.

Thirty four state legislatures would have to be involved, our founding fathers never thought we would have career legislators or they would have addressed the situation we have today.

Unfortunately it is straight out of the book " Animal Farm" the legislators think they are the "elite" and we are the dumb animals portrayed in the book.

It is quite unfortunate that we are unable to stand up and say enough! It is lamentable that the legislators will not remove their hands from the cookie jar, write the appropriate legislation and send it to the states for ratification.

The inability to persuade our legislators, state and federal, is due to apathy and acceptance of the status quo no matter how heinous the actions of our lawmakers.

What will it take for legislators to do the right thing? What would spur our apathetic citizenry to action?
